Mapleton is a mountain-foothills community of 13,000 in Utah Valley, about 50 miles south of Salt Lake City via I-15 to Exit 263. Take US-89 south from Provo through Springville, then head east on 1600 North. The town sits at 4,600 feet elevation with Wasatch Mountain views and serves as a bedroom community for the Provo-Orem area. The 1898 Mapleton Schoolhouse still stands as a historic community center.
