Maple Rapids is a small farming town in central Michigan, about 20 miles northwest of Lansing along the Maple River. Most visitors arrive via US-127 from Lansing or I-96 from Grand Rapids, then take rural roads through corn and soybean country. The community of 727 people serves the surrounding agricultural area.
