Manvel is a small farming town of about 370 people in eastern North Dakota, 15 miles northwest of Grand Forks on US Highway 81. The drive from Grand Forks takes 20 minutes through flat prairie farmland. Most visitors arrive via Grand Forks International Airport, about 25 miles southeast. The town's grain elevator dominates the skyline and serves as a landmark visible for miles across the Red River Valley.
