Manson is a small farming town in north-central Iowa with about 1,600 people, connected by Highway 4 running north-south and Highway 175 going east-west. Most visitors drive up from Fort Dodge, 15 miles south on Highway 4, which links to US Highway 20. The town sits in classic Iowa farm country with gently rolling fields. Manson is famous for sitting atop one of America's largest meteorite impact craters, formed 74 million years ago.
