Most visitors drive up from Providence or down from Boston, both roughly 45-minute trips. The area sits along the MBTA Commuter Rail's Franklin Line, popular with Boston commuters. The town centers around its 1903 Carnegie library, one of the classic Carnegie-funded buildings that still operates as the main public library.
