Manning is a small farming town in western Iowa, about 65 miles northwest of Des Moines via Highway 141. The main routes include Highway 141 east-west and Highway 37 from the north through Denison. Most trips are short local runs to nearby towns like Carroll or Atlantic. The restored 1913 opera house anchors the historic downtown and still hosts live theater performances.
