Manitou is a tiny farming town of 224 people in southwestern Oklahoma's Tillman County. Located 15 miles northeast of Frederick via US Highway 183, it sits amid rolling wheat fields typical of the Great Plains. State Highway 5 runs east-west through town toward Tipton. The massive grain elevator dominates the landscape and serves as a landmark visible for miles across the prairie.
