Manchester is a small Ohio River town in Adams County, about 65 miles southeast of Cincinnati. State Route 52 runs east-west through town along the river, while Route 136 heads north toward Hillsboro. The area serves outdoor enthusiasts visiting nearby Shawnee State Forest. Manchester Island, a 240-acre wildlife preserve in the Ohio River, connects to town via a seasonal footbridge.
