Madison is a small county seat in north-central North Carolina, about 30 miles north of Greensboro via US Highway 220. The town sits in rolling Piedmont hills and connects to Interstate 40 through Greensboro for longer trips, while local routes serve nearby communities like Mayodan and Eden. The red brick courthouse from 1895 still dominates the historic town square.
