Madison is a small farming town of about 500 people in eastern Arkansas's delta country. Take I-40 east from Little Rock to Forrest City, then Highway 1 north to Highway 70 west. From Memphis, it's I-40 west to the same exit. Highway 70 runs right through town, connecting to Forrest City 15 minutes away. The town sits at the crossing of two major agricultural drainage ditches that still shape its street grid today.
