Macksburg is a tiny farming community in southeastern Ohio's Washington County, reached via State Route 76 about 20 miles northwest of Marietta. The area sits in the Appalachian foothills with rolling terrain typical of rural Ohio. Most traffic uses Route 76 to connect to Interstate 77 for longer trips to Columbus or Charleston. The heart of the community remains its century-old general store with its original covered front porch.
