Lyons Switch is a small community in eastern Oklahoma's Adair County, about 20 miles northeast of Stilwell in the wooded Ozark foothills. Most visitors arrive via State Highway 100 from Stilwell or US-412 from Arkansas, with longer drives from Tulsa taking about two hours. The town of 569 sits among dense oak and pine forests, and local traffic uses Highway 100 and county roads to reach nearby Watts and Westville. The community gets its name from an old railroad switch that once directed trains through the heavily forested terrain.
