Lyman is a tiny farming town in Washington's Skagit Valley, reached via Highway 20 from Mount Vernon (15 miles west) or Concrete (20 miles east). The route passes through rich farmland and serves as a gateway to North Cascades National Park. The post office and volunteer fire department share the same small building.
