Lyman is a small farming town in Nebraska's Panhandle, located on US Highway 26 about 15 miles east of Scottsbluff. Most visitors arrive from Scottsbluff or Wyoming via US 26, which follows the historic Oregon Trail route. The town sits in rolling grassland with views of the distant Rockies on clear days. Lyman's claim to fame is its location on the original Lincoln Highway, America's first coast-to-coast auto route from 1913.
