Lykens is a small Pennsylvania borough about 25 miles north of Harrisburg in Dauphin County's rolling hills. Take I-81 north to Exit 85, then Route 209 west for the most direct approach. The town of under 2,000 sits in a valley surrounded by forested ridges that provide spectacular fall foliage. Old coal mining remnants still dot the hillsides around town.
