Luverne is a farming town of 52 people in southeastern North Dakota, about 45 miles west of Fargo via I-94 and County Road 18. Most routes here are short local trips or longer agricultural tours connecting rural communities. The town's grain elevator stands tall above the endless wheat fields, visible for miles across the flat Red River Valley.
