Luttrell is a small Tennessee town of about 1,150 people in Union County's rolling Appalachian foothills. Located 25 miles north of Knoxville via US-441 and State Route 61, it serves mainly as a quiet residential community for regional commuters. The area experiences mild winters and warm, humid summers typical of East Tennessee. The town was named after the Luttrell family, who established a trading post here in the 1790s.
