Ludlow is a tiny farming town of about 370 people in east-central Illinois, 15 miles northeast of Champaign-Urbana. Take I-57 north to Exit 250, then head east on County Road 1800 North for 8 miles. The village sits along active Norfolk Southern rail tracks and features a working 1918 wooden grain elevator that's still used during harvest.
