Luana is a farming town of 317 people in northeast Iowa's Clayton County, surrounded by corn and soybean fields in the Turkey River valley. Highway 18 runs east-west through town, connecting to Postville 8 miles west, while Highway 76 provides north-south access to Waukon and McGregor. The historic one-room schoolhouse, now a community center, preserves the town's 1800s educational heritage.
