Lowry is a small farming town in west-central Minnesota, about 25 miles southeast of Alexandria via Highway 28. Most visitors arrive from the Twin Cities by taking I-94 west to Sauk Centre, then Highway 28 southwest through prairie farmland. The town sits in typical Minnesota lake country with rolling hills and agricultural landscape. A classic grain elevator still operates along the railroad tracks, marking Lowry's continued connection to farming.
