Lowell is a small riverside town about 20 miles southeast of Eugene via Highway 58. The scenic 30-minute drive passes through farmland before reaching this community of 1,200 along the Middle Fork Willamette River. Highway 58 continues toward the Cascades, making Lowell a gateway to Willamette National Forest. The town features the photogenic Lowell Covered Bridge, a 165-foot span from 1945 that's one of Oregon's most photographed covered bridges.
