Louisa is a small county seat in central Virginia, about 45 miles from Richmond via I-64 and Route 33. The town sits at the intersection of Routes 33 and 208, making it a natural stopping point between Richmond and Charlottesville or between Fredericksburg and points south. The 1905 courthouse with its red brick clock tower dominates the historic town square.
