Louin is a small town of about 400 people in rural Mississippi, roughly 35 miles north of Hattiesburg via Highway 15. The town sits in rolling pine country where locals commute to Bay Springs or make longer trips to Jackson via Interstate 20. Louin developed along the old Mobile and Ohio Railroad during the early 1900s timber boom.
