Loraine is a small farming town in west-central Texas, about 60 miles southeast of Lubbock. Take I-20 west from Abilene, then north on Highway 208, or approach from Lubbock via US 84 through Post. The town sits near historic Avenger Field, where the famous WASP pilots trained during World War II.
