Loraine is a small farming town of about 340 people in western Illinois, 25 miles southeast of Quincy. Take Illinois Route 96 south from Quincy or connect from Interstate 72 via state highways. The rolling prairie landscape and rural roads make for peaceful driving through Adams County's agricultural heartland. The town's 1888 one-room schoolhouse still stands as a piece of local history.
