Longview sits on the Columbia River about 50 miles north of Portland and 120 miles south of Seattle via Interstate 5. The city connects Washington and Oregon, with easy access from both directions on I-5. State Route 4 runs east-west through town, linking to coastal areas and inland communities. Southwest Washington Regional Airport is 3 miles northeast of downtown. The famous Nutty Narrows Bridge downtown was built specifically for squirrels to safely cross Olympia Way.
