Longtown is a tiny Perry County community of under 100 people in southeastern Missouri, reached via State Route 51. It's about 25 miles northwest of Cape Girardeau and 15 miles south of Perryville along rolling terrain between the Mississippi valley and Ozark foothills. The town remains one of Missouri's smallest incorporated cities, originally established as a 1800s trading post.
