Long Creek is a farming community of 1,400 people in central Illinois, about 15 miles southeast of Decatur. Take I-72 to Exit 133 and follow Route 121 south to reach town. It's a quick 20-minute drive from Decatur via US 36 east to Route 121, or 45 minutes from Springfield on I-72 east. The town's massive concrete grain elevator from 1952 still towers over Main Street.
