Locust Fork is a small Alabama town of about 1,400 people, located 35 miles northeast of Birmingham in Blount County's rolling hills. The main route from Birmingham follows I-65 north to Exit 284, then Highway 79 northeast through Cleveland. From Huntsville, take US-231 south to connect with Highway 79. The town sits along the Locust Fork of the Black Warrior River, which offers excellent bass and catfish fishing.
