Lockhart is a small Union County community of about 400 people, located 50 miles northwest of Columbia in South Carolina's Piedmont region. Highway 176 provides the main access, connecting east to I-26 and west toward the North Carolina border. Most visitors arrive via Columbia or Charlotte, following I-26 to Highway 176.
