Loa is a tiny mountain town at 7,100 feet that serves as Wayne County's seat despite having just 467 residents. Highway 12 runs right through town, connecting Capitol Reef and Bryce Canyon national parks, while Highway 72 links north to I-70. Most visitors are passing through on the scenic Highway 12 corridor, though locals also travel to Richfield 40 miles away. The town has hosted Utah's oldest continuous rodeo every July since 1913.
