Linton is a small Indiana city of about 5,260 people in Greene County, accessible via US Route 41 from Terre Haute (25 miles north) or Evansville (60 miles south). State Road 54 runs east-west through town toward Bloomfield and the Illinois border. The Greene County Historical Society Museum occupies a beautifully restored 1911 Carnegie library building.
