Lingle is a small farming town of 430 people in southeastern Wyoming's sugar beet country, about 15 miles northeast of Torrington via US Highway 26. The town sits in the irrigated North Platte River valley at 4,100 feet elevation, connected by State Highway 154 south to Torrington and served by the regional airport 20 miles away. The original railroad depot still stands as the community center.
