Lindsborg, known as "Little Sweden USA," sits 20 miles north of McPherson on US Highway 81 in central Kansas. The main route from Wichita follows I-135 north to McPherson, then US 81 north. From Kansas City, take I-70 west to Salina, then US 81 south about 25 miles. The town of 3,800 celebrates its Swedish heritage year-round, and visitors can spot large painted Dala horse sculptures displayed as public art throughout the downtown streets.
