Linden sits in East Texas pine country about 25 miles southwest of Marshall on US 59. This Cass County seat connects to Tyler via Highway 155 south and reaches Interstate 20 through Marshall for Dallas or Shreveport trips. The 1861 brick courthouse on the town square is one of Texas's oldest continuously operating courthouses.
