Linden is Perry County's seat, sitting along the Buffalo River in central Tennessee's rolling hills. Highway 100 runs east-west through town, connecting to Centerville and Interstate 40 near Dickson about 30 miles north. State Route 13 provides north-south access. Most traffic is local, though some visitors come for Buffalo River recreation. The 1936 Art Deco courthouse on the town square features striking limestone construction and geometric details.
