Linden is a farming town of 150 people in Dallas County, about 35 miles west of Des Moines via Highway 210 and Interstate 35. The drive takes you through classic Iowa agricultural country with cornfields stretching to the horizon. The town's restored 1920s grain elevator still operates during harvest and serves as a landmark across the flat prairie.
