Limon sits where I-76 and US 40 cross in eastern Colorado, about 90 miles from Denver. It's the Lincoln County seat on the high plains at 5,400 feet elevation. Most traffic comes via I-76 from Denver or continues northeast toward Nebraska, while US 40 connects east-west to Kit Carson and the Rockies. The municipal airport right in town still offers passenger service alongside general aviation.
