Lime Ridge is a farming community of 263 people in Sauk County, about 20 miles northwest of Baraboo via Highway 136. The village sits on rolling agricultural land typical of south-central Wisconsin. Most visitors arrive from Madison (45 miles southeast) or the Wisconsin Dells area using Highway 12 and local county roads. The town gets its name from an actual limestone ridge that early settlers used as a navigation landmark.
