Ligonier is a small northeastern Indiana city of about 4,300 people, located 35 miles north of Fort Wayne in farm country. US Route 6 runs through downtown, connecting west to Goshen (15 miles) and east to Kendallville. State Route 5 provides north-south access, with most residents making daily trips to Goshen for shopping or commuting to regional manufacturing jobs. The 1889 Noble County Courthouse dominates the town square with its Second Empire clock tower.
