Liberty is a small foothills city near Clemson University, about 25 miles from Greenville via Highway 123 and Highway 93. The scenic Cherokee Foothills Highway (Highway 11) provides mountain views on approach. Long-distance travelers use I-85 exits to reach the area. The restored 1920s Ritz Theatre anchors downtown as a live performance venue.
