Liberty is a small farming town of about 400 people in western Illinois, roughly 20 miles northeast of Quincy via Highway 104. The main route connects through Quincy to the regional airport about 15 miles away. Most traffic consists of locals heading to Quincy for services or longer trips connecting through Highway 61 toward Hannibal or St. Louis. The town's standout feature is its preserved 1800s brick schoolhouse with the original bell tower still intact on Main Street.
