Lexington is a small city in northwestern Alabama's Lauderdale County, home to about 640 people in the rolling hills southeast of Florence. Highway 20 provides the main access from Florence (15 miles west) and connects to regional routes toward Huntsville and Birmingham. The town sits in farming country with a humid subtropical climate. Downtown features a restored 1920s Gulf service station with original porcelain signage and vintage gas pumps.
