Lesterville is a tiny farming town of 91 people in southeastern South Dakota's Yankton County, sitting along Highway 50 about 25 miles northwest of Yankton. The area is classic Great Plains country with corn and soybean fields. Most visitors arrive via Highway 50 from Yankton or drive down from Sioux Falls on I-29. The post office doubles as the volunteer fire department headquarters.
