Leslie is a small farming town in southwest Georgia, about 30 miles from Albany via State Route 32. The community of 500 sits amid cotton and peanut fields in Sumter County's agricultural heartland. Drivers reach Leslie from Albany by taking US 19 north to Leesburg, then SR-32 east, or from Americus via SR-32 west. The town's Georgia Rural Telephone Museum displays vintage telecommunications equipment in an authentic 1920s telephone exchange building.
