Leroy is a small McLennan County community of 458 people located about 15 miles northeast of Waco via State Highway 6. Drivers reach it from I-35 through Waco or via Highway 84 for east-west travel, with Waco Regional Airport about 20 miles away. The 1898 Leroy General Store still serves the community with its original wooden floors and tin ceiling.
