LeRoy is a small Kansas farming town of about 500 people, located 50 miles south of Topeka via Highway 31. Visitors typically arrive from I-35 at Ottawa or from Highway 54 near Iola. The surrounding Flint Hills countryside features rolling pastures and scattered woodlands typical of southeastern Kansas. The town's most notable landmark is its 1896 stone jail, a well-preserved piece of frontier history.
