Leonidas is a tiny community of 37 people in Minnesota's Iron Range, reached via Highway 135 from the Virginia-Eveleth area. Most visitors drive north from Duluth on Highway 53, then take county roads through the forested Mesabi Range. The nearest airport is Eveleth-Virginia Municipal, about 15 miles south. Old unnamed logging roads still lead to hidden lakes in the surrounding wilderness.
