Lengby is a tiny farming community of 43 people in northwestern Minnesota's Polk County. Highway 2 runs right through town, connecting it to Bemidji (45 miles east) and Grand Forks, North Dakota (50 miles northwest). The area features flat agricultural land growing corn, soybeans, and wheat, with harsh winters and warm, humid summers. The town's grain elevator towers over the prairie, visible for miles in every direction.
