Lena is a small farming community in northwestern Illinois, about 25 miles west of Freeport on US Route 20. The town sits in rolling agricultural country and serves as a grain shipping point for local farmers. Route 73 connects north to Orangeville while Route 20 continues west to Galena and the Mississippi River. The historic grain elevator complex still dominates the town's skyline and remains actively used today.
